Apple products to seem be launched in September 2022

Every year millions of people look forward to the new iPhones. The iPhone 14 series, which is supposed to come later this year, could undergo some profound changes in terms of design and hardware. As per rumours, Apple could ditch the ‘mini' model and instead introduce a 6.7-inch ‘Max' variant into the iPhone lineup. Additionally, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to get rid of the notch and might finally adopt "punch-hole" cameras for selfies and Face ID authentication creating an immersive display experience for the users. Under the hood, both the Pro models are expected to ship with the next generation of Apple's mobile silicon i.e. A16 which will bring tons of performance and connectivity improvements. On the other hand, the non-Pro models such as the vanilla iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max may reuse last year's A15 Bionic and gain high refresh rate support.

Apple Watch Series 8

Apart from the iPhone 14 series, Apple may also announce the next generation of the Apple Watch during the September event. In order to provide precise and accurate data, the Apple Watch Series 8 could see upgraded hardware and have various sensors in tow to measure blood glucose, blood pressure, body temperature, and even a better sleep tracking technology. With the Watch Series 7 already getting a refreshed design, don't expect the Series 8 to have significant design alterations. As for the size, the new Apple Watch could come in 41mm, 45mm and an even larger sized variant against the 2 sizes. A new Apple Watch SE could also debut along with the Series 8 which would be a more affordable version with stripped-down features.

Airpods Pro 2

The Apple Airpods Pro was announced way back in 2019 and since then the next iteration is long overdue for a launch. The Airpods Pro 2 could bring in some major improvements such as a new embedded wireless chip, support for lossless audio and better built-in fitness tracking. As for the design, Apple may eliminate the stem from the Airpods for a refreshed look which may also change the shape and aesthetics of the charging case.

iPad Pro 2022

The iPad Pro is another product in Apple's device portfolio to get an upgrade this year. The 11-inch iPad Pro 2022, as per reports is said to rock a mini-LED display found on the high-end 12.9-inch iPad Pro from 2021. This would mean the display could produce more vibrant colours with superior brightness levels as compared to the previous generation of iPads. Furthermore, the iPad Pro 2022 is expected to gain MagSafe charging with reverse wireless charging as this particular iPad might have a glass rear panel instead of metal. The performance department could be taken care of by the yet to be announced M2 chip which would bring in some serious power and battery efficiency over the existing M1 chip. Lastly, there are rumours that an upgraded version of the Apple Pencil may also make the cut along with the iPad Pro.

Macbook Air 2022

As Apple is expected to unveil the next generation of its silicon, the M2, there are a couple of devices that could feature the new chip with one of them being the Macbook Air 2022. As per rumors, the Macbook Air may finally be getting a major design upgrade by taking inspiration from the Macbook Pro's boxy design language while still retaining the signature slim form factor. It could also come in more colours than ever before such as green, blue, pink, yellow, silver, orange, and purple. Apart from the design, the new Macbook Air could also borrow the mini-LED display and the 1080p webcam from the Macbook Pro.

13-inch Macbook Pro 2022

The 13-inch Macbook Pro 2022 is said to be an entry-level Macbook Pro that could be powered by the M2 chip. Since Apple ditched the Touch Bar from last year's Macbooks don't expect this one to have it either. As for the design, Apple could cut down on the weight and make it sleeker while implementing an all-black keyboard. Further, Apple analyst Marc Gurman suggests this particular Macbook Pro will neither sport ProMotion nor a mini-LED display and instead go with the typical Retina display found on the current 13-inch Macbook Pro. As for the colours, expect it to come in only a few shades such as silver and space gray.

iPad 10th gen, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, and more

(including iMac)

Apart from the aforementioned devices, Apple has a plethora of other products in the pipeline to be announced throughout 2022. One of them is the 10th generation of the original iPad which could finally be getting rid of the home button and sport an edge-to-edge display, as per leaks. Furthermore, we can speculate that the iPad 10th generation could pack in the A14 Bionic since the previous model had the A13 bringing in much-improved speeds and connectivity capabilities.

Coming to the Macs, both the Mac mini and Mac Pro are said to be in the works. Both could be powered by the M2 chip while the Mac Pro could also come with an Intel variant. As for the design, the Mac mini is said to have a smaller footprint than the 2020 Mac mini and might feature a sturdy plexiglass top panel with an aluminium frame and a magnetic charging connector. As for the Mac Pro's design, just like the Mac mini, it could also see some design changes by stripping down on the size for a slim profile. Both of these devices are expected to have a decent amount of Thunderbolt ports, USB-A ports along with HDMI and Ethernet ports.

Lastly, a larger-sized iMac could also make a debut this year. As per rumours, this iMac could come with a display size ranging between 27 to 32 inches with mini-LED technology and may feature slim bezels with support for ProMotion and XDR.
