CD Projekt Red has scheduled a new Red Streams event tomorrow, where it is expected to reveal the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S optimised versions of Cyberpunk 2077. Ahead of the stream, it seems the optimised has already been officially confirmed by the Xbox website. Xbox’s official list of optimised for Xbox Series X|S games now includes Cyberpunk 2077. This suggests CD Projekt Red may announce the new-gen console version of Cyberpunk 2077 during the Red Streams eventCyberpunk 2077’s PS5 and Xbox Series X|S optimised edition is scheduled to launch in Q1 2022. Players who don’t already own the game on console will be able to buy the standalone version for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game had a botched launch due to a wide variety of bugs, and the game was quite unplayable on PS4 and Xbox One, owing to its poor performance. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S optimized version is expected to feature better graphics, faster load times, and higher framerates. CD Projekt is expected to reveal the exact release date and features of the current-gen console edition of Cyberpunk 2077 during the event. Along with Cyberpunk 2077, the developer is also working on a new version of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, which will be optimised for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, it’s unlikely to be a part of the event as the new version of Witcher 3 is expected to launch in Q2 2022.
